Transportation
Q: Is transportation provided?

A: There is limited complimentary transportation. Routes, times, and departure locations can be found in the app.


Q: I missed the bus! What should I do?
A: The bus schedules can be found in the WIS app. Some locations will have multiple departures at differing times. Depending on where you are going, taking an Uber, Lyft, or walking are also good options. 


Q: How do I get to the evening receptions/events?
A: Evening buses will take Summiteers from Garff to the Alumni House, bus routes and schedules can be found in the Summit app. Alternatively, Salt Lake City has a great public transit system - TRAX. Uber and Lyft are easily accessible in Salt Lake City.


Q: Where can I park? I parked on campus—will I be ticketed?
A: Please refer to the parking map in the map tab of this app. Parking is free on a first-come, first-serve basis in the Central Garage and in the UMFA parking lot. You may be ticketed elsewhere if you park without a University of Utah permit.


Q: Is there a wheelchair accessible bus / transportation option?
A: The University of Utah endeavors to provide reasonable accommodations and to ensure equal access to qualified persons with disabilities. Inquiries concerning perceived discrimination or requests for disability accommodations may be referred to the University’s

Locations
Q: Where is (some location on campus)?
A: All general daytime/campus content is hosted in Garff. No transportation is needed on campus. All locations are in the interactive map tab in this app. 

Q: What time does (some session) start/end?
A:  Please refer to the schedule tab here in the app to view all Summit content. It will be updated in real-time. 

Evening events and skiing
Q: Can I bring a plus one tonight?
A: Evening events are only open to registered Summit attendees.

Q: Where do I get my ticket for Snow Day?
A: Snow Day tickets (skiing/lift passes) will be handed out on location in the Last Chance Lodge at Solitude Mountain Resort.

Q: Are ski/snowboard rentals included in my Summit pass?
A: No, the Summit pass only covers the Solitude lift ticket, so you will need to bring or rent your own equipment.

Q: Can I rent ski/snowboard equipment at Solitude?
A: Yes! Solitude has a great rental shop. Secure your rental in advance at this link to avoid long wait lines at Solitude.

Q: How do I get to Solitude?
A: Summit buses will run in intervals in the morning and afternoon to and from Marriott City Center and Solitude. Check the Snow Day page or app for more details, including departure and arrival time information. Alternatively, you can Uber/Lyft up to the resort or use Canyon Transportation: (801) 225-0184.

Q: Can I leave luggage/gear/etc. somewhere while I ski?
A: Please do not leave luggage or gear on the buses! Buses loop to and from Solitude and your luggage may be lost. You are welcome to leave your luggage at your hotel, or bring you luggage to Last Chance Lodge. However, the Sorenson Impact Center and Solitude Mountain Resort are not responsible for lost/stolen/damaged items.

Q: Do you offer accommodation discounts?

A: We are pleased to offer discounted rooming at the below hotels: 

The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Please note that our room block at this hotel is full, but you are welcome to make accommodations outside of the Summit room block until all rooms are sold out. Please book through the website or call the Monaco directly at (801)595-0000.

The Salt Lake City Marriott City Center Hotel: Please note that our room block at this hotel is full, but you are welcome to make accommodations outside of the Summit room block until all rooms are sold out. Please book through the website or call the Marriott City Center directly at 801-961-8700.

University Guest House . Please note that our room block at this hotel is full, but you are welcome to make accommodations outside of the Summit room block until all rooms are sold out. Please book through the website or call the Guest House directly at (801)587-1000. 


Food
Q: Are there vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options?
A: Of course! If you don’t see it out, ask a member of the catering staff for assistance. All attendees were required to submit their dietary restrictions during registration.

Q: Will there be enough food at the evening receptions, i.e. should I grab some dinner too or will what is provided be enough?
A: The evening receptions will have heavy hors d'oeuvres and appetizers, along with drinks. The food is delicious and filling.


Miscellaneous
Q: Is there WiFi?
A: Yes! It is called UGuest. No password is needed, just follow the on-screen instructions.

Q: I'm not registered for the event. Can I purchase a ticket at the door?
A: Yes. You can purchase tickets anytime through our website and our registration system should update automatically. You are also welcome to purchase a ticket on-site through our registration staff.

Q: I need a small/large meeting room; what can I use?
A: There are 44 breakout rooms and 4 open conference rooms in the Garff building, feel free use any that are not currently in use. Please respect any reservation signs so you don't accidentally wander into another party's workspace.

Q: I’m having trouble with the app, what do I do?
