Hannah Williams

Student Fellow

Hannah is a Student Fellow with the Policy Innovation team at the Sorenson Impact Center. While studying at Brigham Young University, Hannah has conducted ethnographic research in Belfast, Northern Ireland studying activism and social justice in the decades after conflict; worked as a policy researcher for the Global Truth Commission Index, where she helped compile data on truth commissions worldwide and write policy recommendations to the current truth commission in Colombia; and volunteered at the South Franklin Community Center in Provo, UT where she helped design a volunteer onboarding system for the center using design thinking methods. Because of her involvement in these projects, Hannah is interested in the intersection between qualitative research and design thinking and how they can improve policy recommendations. Hannah is a Junior at Brigham Young University majoring in Sociocultural Anthropology with minors in Design Thinking and French
