Sam is Student Fellow with the Impact Investing team at the Sorenson Impact Center, where he analyzes early stage companies seeking venture funding. He performs due diligence on companies and focuses on financial performance and social impact. Prior to joining Sorenson, he spent his summer in Boston working at a boutique Investment Bank, BDO Capital Advisors, working on multiple sell side processes. He served as the only intern on the team and covered multiple industries but was primarily staffed on precision manufacturing companies. While at BDO Capital, he produced multiple industry reports that were solicited to the bank’s clients and affiliated firms. When not studying, Sam works as a teaching assistant for undergraduate and graduate level courses in the finance program. He is currently a part of the Finance Society presidency where he serves as the treasurer and coordinates with all firms interested in conducting campus visits.
Sam is a senior at Brigham Young University studying finance in the Marriott School of Business.
