Tramaine is a Student Fellow on the Policy Innovation team working as a leader on the Student Coalition for Higher Education. Tramaine was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. In 2013, he earned his Bachelor of Science in recreation and sports management with a minor in coaching at Indiana State University. He moved to Ohio and earned his Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in sports coaching in 2015. Tramaine is working on his Ph.D. in educational leadership & policy. Throughout the last decade, his life has been built around working with students. This journey started during his undergraduate years as a peer mentor and continued into his graduate school years as a graduate mentor and, now, as a Ph.D. student. In the future, Tramaine hopes to continue to work on higher education's most pressing issues revolved around student success, and to dismantle institutionalized racism and to move towards an anti-racist culture. He is most passionate about working with folks who support access to higher education for underrepresented and first-gen students.
