
Allison Nicholson
Director of Policy Innovation
Allison currently serves as Director of Policy Innovation, where she coordinates and provides support to multiple projects at the local, state, and national level. Her most recent work at the Center involves managing early childhood projects, using data to inform policy improvement and communicating this to diverse audiences. She is also proud to serve as the Kindergarten Readiness Champion for United Way of Salt Lake's Promise Partnership Regional Council. Prior to joining the Sorenson team, she held multiple public-sector positions, including consulting and research at the University of Utah's Utah Education Policy Center, policy analysis and bill drafting at Utah's Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel, budgeting and planning at the Utah System of Higher Education, and planning engineer at the Utah Division of Water Resources. Allison holds a Master's of Public Policy from the George Washington University and a BS in Civil Engineering from Utah State University.
